STREETSKI COLLABORATES WITH AUDI CAR COMPANY TO PRODUCE ONE OF THE MOST SPECTACULAR COMMERCIALS IN AUDI HISTORY… SO SPECTACULAR THAT IT WON A PRESTIGIOUS CLIO AWARD.

Fountain Hills, Arizona – StreetSki, not the car, was the principal player in an Audi S4 commercial that turned the streets of San Francisco into an urban ski slope. StreetSki is a “ski-like” elongated skate frame, equipped with ski bindings and inline skate wheels, for use with ski boots and poles.

“The idea for the commercial came from the Audi engineers who said it actually feels like ski carving, this new quattro feeling. But then we didn’t just want to show carving on the ski slopes, because that would be boring. We were looking for a spectacular realization for the image,” said Andre Kemper, Director Advertising Agency Kempertrautman GmbH. That’s why StreetSki was the ideal choice to accomplish this, because of its capability to navigate around sharp turns, down steep hills and over the cable car tracks, with ease.

StreetSki worked with Audi to transform the streets of San Francisco into an urban ski slope. All the skiing and stunts were performed on our patented skates. The snow skis were added later, in post production, to create the dramatic effect of a skier on asphalt.
